She believes anything is possible if you are properly prepared…mentally and physically.

Nikki  grew up in the small town of Brookings, Oregon.  This was a perfect place because it fulfilled her desires for the outdoors.  At 8 years old she would take her Mini Schnauzer, Heidi and walk miles up and down the Windchuck River fly fishing.  She would run along the ocean shores, trail run through the Kalmiopsis Wilderness and ride her bike 10 miles into town just to get a pack of gum.  Nikki even at this young age felt the connection to nature and the ability to connect with others.  While attending Brookings Harbor High School, Nikki was a two time District Champion in XC and four time Cross Country State competitor and placed in the top 10 two times at the State XC Championships.  She won two Oregon State Championships in 1988 and 1989 in the javelin and broke the school record that still stands today. In 2012, Nikki was one of the first inductees into the Brookings Harbor High School Hall of Fame.

Nikki then spread her wings at flew off to college.  While at Western Oregon University she excelled academically, as well as athletically. In 1995 Nikki earning a Secondary Education degree (Physical Education) with minors of Sports Leadership and Health. She graduated Cum Laude and as a Scholar All-American.  She traveled to 11 National Championships in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track and field.  Nikki was a 4 time NAIA National All-American and qualified in 9 different events.  In 1995 Nikki placed 2nd in the country in the javelin and this was even 9 months after a major shoulder surgery.  After college Nikki pursued her dream to become an Olympian, which was cut short by a knee injury.  Nikki quarterbacked the Professional Women’s Football the Portland Shockwave.  She let her team to the championship game in 2001.

Nature is Nikki’s calling.  Helping people is Nikki’s calling. This is what inspired her.  Making a difference drives her to where she is today.  Miss Fit Adventures was born in 2003. She has led many a climb to tops of mountains and bottoms of canyons.  She has observed the triumphs of participants when achieving something they never thought possible.  She loves what she does through and through. The Pacific Northwest is the perfect landscape for Nikki and her adventures.
