I have worked with Nikki Becker for more than a decade as my personal trainer. Relevant data is that I have worked with her since my mid 60s into my late 70s. Naturally my physical capacities and needs have changed over time. During those years, I have had minor injuries and a not insignificant illness. 

Nikki is superb at listening and observing, then adjusting my workout both to keep up my strength and flexibility while being aware of limitations that age gradually imposes.

I’ve had the privilege of knowing and working with Nikki as my personal trainer for many years – since before she started Miss Fit Adventures. She has become more than just a trainer; she is a friend. She has always been supportive of my endeavors and helped me believe I could achieve any fitness goal. Under her guidance, I trained for and completed the Portland Marathon, hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon (and out again!), competed in the Hood-to-Coast Relay, and have hiked and climbed many mountains – both physically, in the outdoors, and personally. She has a gentle but assertive personality that pushes you just enough in your training so that you can achieve your goals, but not so much that you get frustrated and run away. Nikki has experience working with a variety of individuals and groups with varying levels of fitness, with and without physical challenges, and is well-prepared to work with clients by meeting them where they are at and developing a plan that will help get them where they want to be. 
I cannot say enough good things about Nikki. I would most highly recommend her for your personal training needs.

I was in tremendous back pain and could barely work. For months, I was unable to drive or fly. I tried various treatments including a physical therapist and multiple providers of acupuncture, massage and chiropractic treatment. While these provided some relief, none compared to the results from working with the personal trainer – Nikki Becker. Her training sessions of stretching and weight lifting made the difference. 

My work with Nikki Becker paid big dividends. I lost weight, gained muscle and my back pain disappeared. This conditioning allowed me be remain very active. After working with Nikki, in 12 months, I completed 12 marathons, went dog sledding in Alaska at -40 degrees, rode ATV’s on Rubicon trail and hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. 

Nikki’s training sessions consist of a mixture of weight training and stretching. Many of the stretching exercises can only be done with the assistance of a personal trainer. Her professional training and experience allow one to achieve maximum benefit without risking injury from over-stretching. 

Nikki Becker is a conscientious, competent, personal trainer one can depend on and at half the cost of a physical therapist.

I trained with Nikki and Taylor at Miss Fit Adventures for 12 weeks. During that time, I lost 25 pounds and over 18 inches. However, what I gained was far more significant than what I lost. It goes beyond that which is easily quantifiable.

I gained an education in training and sustaining a healthy body through sound nutritional choices and a balanced approach to physical fitness. This education was about more than simply learning how to lose weight. The word fitness was redefined for me. I now see fitness as, essentially, a caring for the self that, while often motivated by a desire to change what is on the outside, must coincide with a focus on what is on the inside.

When we decide to take time to listen to our bodies and give them the care that they need, we sometimes need guides to help us on our path. Nikki and Taylor provide that guidance with the level of care and understanding that we should give to our bodies at all times. In doing so I, as a client (and student), learned to care for myself as deeply and carefully as they did. Encouragement, patience, friendship and careful attention to personal needs drive their work. A true commitment to women’s health and fitness creates a supportive environment where the strengths we possess as women are both tested and nurtured. I could not recommend them higher.

Thank you so much for your note about the marathon. It was really hard but we finished! Yeah! It was by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the race- the first half was actually enjoyable, miles 18-21 were tough, the rest was miserable. My first thought when I finished was, “I’m never doing this again!” But now I feel like i want to do one when it’s not so hot.

Thanks you so much for your support over the past year. I enjoyed working with you and your team at MissFit Adventures very much. I especially enjoyed shedding 20 pounds and becoming a leaner me! At the beginning of my training, I could tell right away that I had more energy. I took fewer naps and joined more activities with friends and family. Throughout the year I also became more confident about makin healthy choices when it comes to food and exercise. I feel like I’ve gained the skills to maintain the wonderful changes that you helped me create. I chose to develop a healthier lefestyle and you showed me the way.
